Default Buying new laptop - will it work?

So I'm in the market for a new laptop. I don't have a desire for the eye candy of GW and just like it to run. I currently have a laptop using the 825/855 chipset so I'm not used to the flash and glimmer of graphics anyway. I'd like to know if anyone has a chipset like this one below(945 chipset I believe) and knows that GW works on it? I'm not looking for people to tell me how much the graphics will suck or anything, just if there are no major problems running the game on this laptop.

Specs : Clicky

Thanks in advance.

I am unaware of any issues with the 950 intel graphics accelerator and Guild Wars. The only thing that I see that may give problems is the graphics memory is shared with the main memory. Try to find a laptop that has dedicated video memory (most any laptops with any of the ATI or Nvidea graphics chipsets are like that). I currently have a HP DV8315nr which has these specs:

AMD uration64 1.8 ghz cpu
1 gig system ram
ATI Radeon Express 200M with 128 megs of dedicated ram

This one that I use plays Guild Wars rather nicely (with some of the video options turned down) and it only cost $1198 at Best Buys.

I am not saying that the one you chose will not play Guild Wars, but you may be taking a big wallet hit if it can't. A couple places where you can find decent laptops at rather good prices and will play Guild Wars (some at reduced eye candy) are:

www.ibuypower.com
www.tigerdirect.com
www.newegg.com
www.buyxg.com
www.cyberpowerpc.com
www.abs.com
www.dell.com

All of these places offer rather nice basic gaming systems that work quite well. And if you want something more powerful they all can be customized.
Hope this helps some.

Its not Intel's fault that some of their chipsets wont work with Guild Wars, just the requiremets have to meet a specific standard and there are other chipsets that dont meet it either. So Intel is not alone in this matter.

950 will run it, but I don't care for the quality.

Define "run", lol.

I honestly would not go that Lappy.... that graphics "card" is a piece of junk. Get a dedicated card with its own video memory.

Go with this if you can afford a little extra.

Thanks for the advice, definetly looking at those websites. Never gotten one via a website (or a customish one for that matter) so thanks for the help.
